【Market introduction】
Bangladesh has a population of 140.3 million and an area of 143.998 square kilometers. The economic growth rate is 4.6%; the industrial growth rate is 4.9%; the country issued an industrial policy in 1991, allowing foreign investors to own 100% of the shares. The wages in Bangladesh are quite low, and 14% of the total investment is in the machinery and related equipment industry. As Bangladesh is a least developed country recognized by the United Nations, it can enjoy multiple export quotas and tariff preferences from developed countries such as Europe and the United States. In addition, it has low manpower and good plasticity. It has become one of the countries with the most development potential in Asia.
Bangladesh is one of the top five textile exporting countries in the world. At present, the annual export volume of the country's textile and garment processing industry reaches 10 billion US dollars (about 77.3 billion yuan). Driven by the strong textile industry, Bangladesh's rubber, plastic, packaging and printing industries have developed very rapidly. There are more than 3,000 plastic, packaging and printing manufacturers in the country, of which more than 500 companies mainly provide packaging bags for the country's export garment industry , buttons, hangers and textile export packaging and printing products. Last year, Bangladesh's total export of rubber and plastic products was 130 million US dollars (about 1 billion yuan). Bangladesh's plastics industry produces about 600,000 tons of virgin resin every year, and recycles 300,000-400,000 tons of waste for regeneration every year. The capital, Dhaka, with a population of 20 million, is a major waste recycling hub. In recent years, stimulated by the vigorous development of the textile industry, Bangladesh's rubber and plastics, packaging and printing industries have risen rapidly and are developing into the country's emerging pillar industries.
