PLASTIMAGEN is the most comprehensive exhibition and trade fair for plastic machinery, equipment, and materials in Mexico, providing a unique communication platform for the plastics industry in Mexico and the entire North American region.

The last Mexico Plastics Exhibition was successfully held at the Centro Banamex Exhibition Center in Mexico City in November 2017, with an exhibition area of 40,000 square meters. There were more than 840 exhibitors from 31 countries, and more than 32,000 buyers and visitors, from 42 around the world. There are no empty seats inside or outside the venue, and a row of booths has been set up in the corridor to meet the shortage of demand. The previous exhibition was very effective, and 70% of the exhibitors had reserved their seats for 2019 at the exhibition site.

Currently, there are about 5,500 plastic companies (85% of which are small or micro companies) employing 185,000 people. 5 million tons of plastic products are processed every year; about 53% of its plastic products are used to make bottles or packaging, and other products are used in large quantities in construction, furniture, toys and agriculture.
Due to Mexico's low-cost advantage, many plastic processing companies have moved into Mexico, which has contributed to the growth of Mexico's plastics industry. At the same time, U.S. President Trump asked U.S. companies in Mexico to relocate to the United States, which undoubtedly reduced a large number of strong competitors in the Mexican market and prompted Mexican companies to increase import demand.


China and Mexico established diplomatic relations on February 14, 1972. China is Mexico's second largest trading partner, and Mexico is China's second largest trading partner in Latin America. According to the statistics of the General Administration of Customs of China, the trade volume between China and Mexico in 2016 reached 42.66 billion US dollars, of which China exported 32.36 billion US dollars and imported 10.3 billion US dollars; Imports of 5.53 billion US dollars. Mexico mainly imports Chinese computer and communication technology products, electrical and electronic products, mechanical equipment, televisions, etc.
