Brief Introduction
A Permanent Magnet dc motor (PMDC motor) is a type of DC motor that uses a permanent magnet to create the magnetic field required for the operation of a DC motor.
Main Features
The permanent magnet motor uses permanent magnets to provide excitation, which makes the motor structure simpler, reduces the processing and assembly costs, and saves the slip rings and brushes that are prone to problems, which improves the reliability of motor operation. Since no excitation current is required, there is no excitation loss, which improves the efficiency and power density of the motor. A permanent magnet synchronous motor consists of a stator, rotor, end cover, and other components. The stator is basically the same as the ordinary induction motor, and the lamination structure is adopted to reduce iron loss when the engine is running. The rotor can be made solid or laminated with laminations. The armature windings can be concentrated full-pitch windings, distributed short-pitch windings, and unconventional windings.

Application Scopes
As everyone knows, the permanent magnet synchronous motor has the advantages of simple structure, small size, high efficiency and energy saving, green environmental protection, high power factor, and low failure rate. With the development of the times, there will be more applications of permanent magnet DC motors, and many occasions where ac motors were originally used are replaced by permanent magnet DC motors.
With the development of permanent magnet material technology, the advancement of power electronics and driving device technology, and the improvement of human society's awareness of environmental protection and energy issues, it is believed that in the near future, permanent magnet motors will be used as power-driving devices. Infiltrated into all aspects of industrial manufacturing.
